The images Slow me, slow you are an ongoing practice in abstraction, rhythm and colour. This work continues my interest in exploring new ways of understanding bodily experiences across time and space, and how to make visible what is not possible to record directly, and often deemed to a certain extent invisible.

For a long time I’ve wanted to find an image that responds to the similar experiences to that of the Australian artist Fred Williams (1927-1982). His experience was one of becoming aware of his own blood moving through his body whilst out painting in the heat of the the Australian desert.

Such a concept has continually fascinated me for years, so much so that when I arrived in Australia, I travelled throughout the desert regions experiencing this fascinating connection of the body and its effect to the heat.
